Thanks for sharing doncraft! Tom is right, you have the earliest (on this list) 1970 with a 250.

Thanks for sharing Trambo! It looks like your VIN was already on the list, under the e-Bay auction you possibly bought the car from? :Welcome: to the site!!

You both have been added to the list on the previous page! :tiphat:

I found this one sitting across the street from where my uncle lives. It belonged to the neighbor's girlfriend. He was changing oil in it and found out the water pump was leaking.

It is a '76 Maverick with a 302, automatic, PS, PB and bucket seats. The interior was blue as well. It is a pretty decent car with some rust over the rear fender wells.

Got it added! Thanks for sharing. Are you and your uncle breeding these things down there in VA? They seem to find you guys!!! The wheels look neat with the lug nuts painted black, or darker than usual. I also like the non-red centers, kind of like what I had on my old 4dr (silver centers). A real clean look!

Not to be a pain, but are you sure the serial number (480,446) is correct? That is way too high of a number, especially for 1975. Maybe "180,446"?? It also is missing the engine code (either T, L, or F). Let me know (or post a pic) and I'll add the VIN to the list. Thank You for sharing! :Handshake:

You're welcome. Yeah Paul we have ran across a few in the past year or so. The center caps were faded but they had the steer head on them.

No worries on the VIN typos. I see them all the time, and usually I can figure them out. You have been added to the VIN List:
    http://mmb.maverick.to/threads/vin-...r-to-someone-elses.61672/page-42#post-1030090

With these older VINs that do not fit the modern 17-digit VIN system, you have to watch out for clerical errors when dealing with paper work on these cars. You may want to check your insurance cards, too. Mine had errors (1970 in description, and "X" instead of "K" for the plant).
