Vintage Maverick/Comet photos

Wow...this picture is from the 1970's and that 1969 Fairlane already has severe rust.

 

Look like the so called "gas shortage" of 1974

 

Dang was this for the maverick/ comet in the pic or the 11 vw's. didn't know there was that many of them back then

I had 9 aircooled's at one time in the early 70's

 

These pics are like seeing the biggest autoshow ever! Love them!!!

My Aunt just scanned a bunch of pics and these were in them. They are of my Uncle David and my cousin Gary. You just have to love the 70s. Mav hiding in the background with its Mercury cousins and a great pose for my Uncle David.

 

Early Grabber, taken in 1975

 

Nice! I'd say that judging by the lack of hood scoops and the fact that the black on the hood goes up onto the cowl, and the white side stripes, it's a 1970 Grabber.

Quick! Someone get out of their car and get his VIN, Data Sticker and contact info for Craig's 70 Grabber registry before the light turns green!

There are some vintage photos in my gallery of the Bear Cat from when my Mom first got her. And some of various shots of different places that we visited during it's life. Don't know how to bring them to this page and I've already deleted them from my computer. One picture is in my signature! That was in 1973 right after my Mom got her!
