That is so cool! Glad you kept the photo! Not many old photos are being kept anymore. So sad!

A good friend of mine had one of those Grand Ams. All black, wide tires, black bucket seat interior, console, floor shift, 400 motor. It was a pretty nice car. You could ignore the peak in the grille.
That peak was soft material, too, meant to survive a 5 mph impact. Some folks called them the "rubber ducky" front end, because that is what they felt like, squishy. Didn't hold paint well long term.

At times my mind wanders back to walking through the school parking lot on my way to class and seeing Mustang’s, Torino’s, GTO’s and Camaro’s just to name a few.
Fond memories of days long gone.

I went to a small high school in Florida, about 600 students, and I graduated in 1977. I was "the guy with the 1965 Mustang" and my buddy who would park near me was "the guy with the 1972 Mustang". It really was that much of our identity to the other folks that didn't personally know us. I transferred in from out of state in my Junior year, so I was a bit of a mystery to many of the other students.
Some of the gals there seemed to like that ... ;)

Lots of searching. Time consuming (why my posts are sporadic), but worth it.
