I missed this whole thread before, Looks really nice. Now I am dreaming again. I need to get the car painted soon and get a top like that.
Find the rear trim pieces and we'll both do it.....those are tough to find in my neck of the woods....Green Sales doesn't have them in stock either.
I don't know what my top is called but it doesn't come down the sides like that. I have these littlt nail head looking things and I have all the trim, just don't have the clips. Someone here once gave me(us) the link to a place that had them, I saw them but failed to buy any thinking I could always go back to the site. Well, it's gone or something and now I again don't know where to find them. I'm thinking I should have the whole car painted then do the top. Has anyone ever seen a silver metalic material before? That's what i'm hoping to find.
Wow, what an inspiration to see this. I, too, will be re-doing the top of Mav. Thanks for those great shots!
I just caught the little winks between Rick and Dan... Was this all before Rick brought that car home to Texas?
That is cool...Makes complete sense now, didn't even catch it when it was going on. By the way, I have seen the car in person. Really did a great job with it...
Thanks ... I really liked that car and didn't really want to sell it ... but with the Grabber and the Mustang I had enough cool cars ... and really wanted to buy a motorcycle so the Yellow Maverick had to go .. Plus I really needed a pickup truck and the F150 Rick threw into the deal has worked out well for me ..
Update on "Buttercup": She is resting quietly in dry storage, only to be driven once/mo.... until my return. I fell in love with that car. If the engine bay hadn't been so perfectly restored, I would've slipped a small block in there ASAP. I'll keep the 6 for now.
Rick, I hated to see Dan get rid of that car, but I am glad it went to a good home. I have quite a few pics of that car, including several taken by Hawkco on a very memorable day, our 1st annual cruise & show on 10/21/06. Now, I especially like these pictures, because myself and my '72 are in them also. In the second picture you can see Earl Branham, John Ferguson (aubman82), and myself discussing your beautiful engine bay, and my brother admiring from beside the car. Just messin' with you. Hope you are doing well.
