Virus suck....

I had that new comp virus that shuts your computer off every 45 seconds. My friend had my comp for a week. anyway I just wanted to let ya all know there is a new patch available for this worm. XP and 2000 windows user are the primary targets. Everytime I got onto the internet my comp would start a message that would shut it off in 45 secs. Later.....

 

There were TWO worms on my girl-friend's. The first was MSBLAST - same thing - shut down in seconds.

Just about the time I would reach a web-site that had the fix, the puter would shut down before the program was downloaded (I eventually beat the virus into submission and thwarted it's efforts to keep me from downloading it's syrum).

So I leave thinking all is good, nope - 'Still having probs. This time it was a different virus. I downloaded two freebie programs that reside on my pc at all times, AVG (Anti-Virus by Grisoft) and Kerio Personal Firewall.

Both are freebies and have automatic updates. She's had no problems since.

The big-business IT departments have been working over-time during the last week to head off the onslaugt of these viruses.

ya that virus sucked, had to jump through hoops to get it off my computer.

 

..... remember that if you do install anti-virus software that you still have to update it at least weekly. This is different than a scan. If you dont update the new software will be useless and you will still get all the virus'. Update daily!!! Good luck...this has been a bad month for virus'.

I know a lot of you already know this but there are many that dont..........I fix at least one computer a day that is infected and they didnt have update virus definitions....

Yep, they do suck! I gopt something on my computer the other day, and I thought it was the Blaster virus, but after scanning for it and getting the patch it turned out it wasn't. It was something else, but it's fixed and I am rolling again!

I keep geteting that virus that secrws up my kyeboard amd makes my spellling look likg I'n am a ideut.
