Vipre does also have a anti-malware solution, but based on Gene's screenshot, he is using the antivirus only version.

When I did consulting I always recommended Kaspersky. It's top of the line software.

The most telling thing for me about VIPRE, is that every scoring and certificate listing I have seen come out since 2012 has listed it as worse than Microsoft Security Essentials, or ignored it completely. I can't even find a recent score on it. Everything with VIPRE showing any decent marks at all is from 2011.

I would be willing to bet a lot that the guy who gave blugene's wife the tip is a regular PCMag reader. PCMag is nothing but a paid advertisement from cover to cover these days.

I have Kaspersky v13 and a registered version of Malwarebytes. I notice that Malwarebytes balloon clams to be stopping something ever once in a while in the toolbar...but not while on this forum

Do you have an anti-malware application on your computer?

    I don't understand what you're PO'd about?

Couple of things.. I don't think your talking to me are you? Secondly.. Unless I missed something, I see comments made by you not suggestions.. The questions wall seems like a good idea for someone running a site therefore that's why I don't think your aiming at me.. :)
