I got my 70 Grabber when I was 13 from my uncle... 20 years ago! I've owned the Mav half of it's life and more than half of mine. Still have it!

    A 1976 - that's where the "76" in Rando76 comes from.

First car was a 1971 Grabber. Dad was a manager at a Ford dealer and got it new and gave it to my Mom. I picked it up as my first car in 1979. Grabber Orange with Black Stripes, 6 cyl and auto, steel wheels and hub caps. We punched out the rear to a 3.91. The car was awesome to drive, very quick. I ended up selling the car and went into a V-8 Javelin-which was around the same time Dad moved to an AMC dealer. I always missed the Grabber

I attend a car show every year (Adirondack Nationals) for the last 18 years and never see Grabbers. Finally in 2009 I started looking for one and found a 71 in Rhode Island. I love the car and drive the crap out of it. In addition to front disc conversion, it also has a BW T5 in it. Cruises at 1700 rpm at 65 on highway. Having a ball !

Technically yes, my first car is a maverick. I bought it in January since the car that was supposed to be mine ended up being driven by my mom every chance she got, so I went out looking for something I wouldn't have to worry about other people driving. A 14 hour trip up into Washington and $1500 later and I had myself a blue 74 Mav. She's been a great car so far, she's just spent most of the summer sitting since I didn't have the time to fix the suspension. Thankfully we're ordering new front end parts tonight and I'm ordering some new wheels (no more 14" steels with hubcaps for me!).

No, but one of the first cars I ever drove was a Maverick, and the first standstill I ever did was in a Maverick. My first car was a 1973 BMW 2002.

My first car is my 1973 Maverick that is in my garage today. My grandfather bought it new for my mom and she gave it to me when I got my license. I learned how to drive in it when I was 12.

Yep, but unfortunately had to sell it.

It was '82, I was 16, and I bought a zero rust '77 red on red w/ white half top 2 door Mav from my own money. It only had a 250 in it but looking back, that was probably a good thing. Bench. Auto. 250. PS. PB. Aluminum slots.

Drove it summers only for 3 years. It made the cover of Tradin' Times when I put it up for sale. Got my asking price.

I have been hooked ever since. :)

84 Bonneville, but I traded it and didn't care much for it so I consider my first car a 71 Comet ;)
