I have a problem with a water leak. I get a leak that drops onto the dash tray, away from the cowl and floor. I just had the windshield power sealed, so I don't imagine it could be the problem. The cowl vents are intact and do not leak. Any ideas???

First thought is the water is traveling, via bracket, hose, bolt, something is allowing it to get there. The source?? Is it clear water? When is it happening?

Hey Earl, I think I have the exact same problem here. My cowls are in great shape, my windshield seal is new and sealed very well, and only when I wash it does a little water come onto the driver's floor pan. I am thinking that it may be the windshield wiper motor seal or maybe where the windshield wiper post go through the metal. It only does it when I wash it, never when it has been raining (even hard). I am confused, but thinking it may be something to do with the wipers - something that requires a seady jet of water, like from a hose, to leak. Anyone to shead more light on this situation? Thanks.

Corbin; I took my Mav on a trip a week ago, and it rained like hell the whole way back. The water dripped onto the dash tray, and it was clear, and only appears when it rains, not when I wash it. Wierd, huh? I guess I will have to pick a rainy day and drive it until it leaks, and then get under there and see. Maybe a leaky gromet or something in the firewall, from a guage or cable. Thanks,

    Earl

Hum????? Well, I guess our problems are not the same. Opposites is more like it.. :) I guess I'll have to do some more looking when I wash it next. Let us know what you find.

Well, even though my windshield seal is new, and "professionally installed" it is the culpret. Nothing really bad (little amount of water), but I'll have to seal it up some more. What a pain.

I am going to take the car to a car wash and try some pressured water to see if I can make it leak, and where it is. I think I have the same thing, and my windshield was pump sealed by a pro also. So much for the pros. I will let you know.
