The sourness is beginning to wear off. It's almost to the point where it's funny, but not quite yet. I'm trying to get something together for next weekend to go to Bremerton, but I don't think that's going to pan out for me. You guys will definately hear about any plans I come up with to get down there. I'm even considering throwing some 235/75r15's on there and just driving down. It'll cost about the same in fuel as renting a trailer and fueling up a borrowed truck, not to mention whatever I have to do to borrow the truck.
Glad to hear of the PTSS recovery. I hear Bremerton is a pretty nice strip. Acknowledged on the 15's and driving down. Although that 3700-4000 rpm at 60 mph may drive you insane (if you're running the 4.11's). I'd slay for a Gear Vendors or AOD. If I went GV, then eventually would like to put the Art Carr lower gear set in the c4 (about 2.84 first gear vs 2.46 stock). Damn, fun to dream! s! ss!
Actually, since those tires are 28.8 inches tall, I should be at 3100 at 65mph. plenty liveable. I'm more worried about breaking an axle or getting caught in the rain than anything else. Here's the calculator I use for that kind of stuff: http://www.f-body.org/gears/
I'd be up for a Friday night race.....Just let me know in advance...And, yes! The Bremerton track is very nice. It's an old air strip.....
im up for pretty much any day, this is my last week of school, dont start work until end of this month.
Ok gang, I'm kicking around this Friday at Pacific (the 24th). IF the rain holds off and IF the inlaw comes by with the trailer (yeah, I know, I could drive it down, but don't like swapping out the tires in the dirt...s! ss!). Chime in if anyone else gets a wild hair to make a few runs. Thanks for reading.
This Friday sounds cool.....I haven't made any passes yet, this year.....Okay, the 24th if it doesn't rain....
I'll be there, but I've never raced before and my 250 is in no condition for a race right now so I'll be a bystander.
Not gonna happen on my end. Dang! Seriously considering making a run down in the daily driver just for the fun of it, but I probably won't.
-155...check. -Merc...check. -Loki...check (if it runs, kick around racing it, just to see what it will do as a baseline and for general experience.) -11sec...pending. Let's hope the showers hold off and everyone arrives safely.
25 bones, plus 10 your first time for a competition number. Plan on getting there at about 4:15 or 4:30 so you're toward the front of the line to get in. That way you can get teched and be making passes before most people have even gotten in the gate. The folks working the track are awesome. If you have any questions just ask one of them when they aren't busy and they'll help you out and always say thanks. They remember. I've had them wave me through for an extra pass here and there just for being compliant and helpful when I can be. Have fun! Wish I could go.
