Yep! We had a ball...Comet155 & I were running in the 14's all night. On our 3rd & final run of the night, we got paired up to run side by side. What a sight that had to be (two 73 Comets). We both had a good run going up until the 60 foot mark. I went to shift to second gear & the car died. It was like someone turned the key off. At the end of the track, it fired right back up & I drove home with no problems. Can't figure out what the problem was. We were going for a side by side run all the way. I wasn't a happy camper. Oh, well! That's racing.....Maybe next time, when we can get more Maverick/Comets to go with us....

Pics should be coming soon (crew took the pics...waiting now for development).
Ran too much pressure in SS's. (20lbs). Only 14.4 on the motor. So worried about traction that I waited far to long to turn on the sauce so the wet run was only 13.5 at 103....worse than several years ago (13.26 @ 103) If I ever get the guts to run again this year....15 lbs in the tires and sauce will be on after 20 ft out of the hole....that's just gotta get me a 13.0 damn it! So frick'in many people that it took us 6 hours to get 3 runs (2 hours between passes) im-f@cking-pratical and exhausting. ;)

No, Ray! I haven't tried the McReary's yet. I figure I better wait until I get posi...Don't want to yank the rearend out from under the car on a record run....LOL It was disappointing to only get 3 runs in 6 hours. Could have gotten more runs, if we would've paid another $5 to race in the Car Club Challenge. The Ford Team asked us to race with them. We politely rejected the offer. We were there to have fun. Not to try to win anything. Plus, didn't need the pressure of winning. I do believe that the Ford team took the trophy. A Mercury Cyclone Dan Gurney Special (only 110 built) was in the final with a Camaro. The Cyclone was running 11.95 all night long. It is a street legal car. Had the kids car seats in the back seat. He told me his wife drives it all the time. Has 75,000 miles on it, since he last painted it. Impressive car for sure....When you coming down to race, Ray? Get with Cliff! He is coming to a MCCI Mini Meet that has racing that weekend...

T&T days are ok, but sometimes people don't bring all the right gear to work on their rigs between runs. Behold the non-recommended jack....
