I never let out of it on that pass Rick, however, some have told me that the sixty foot is a little slow for a 6.0 pass. I think your closer then the 850 that was posted above, I know it wasnt' making 850.....

Keep in mind, I honestly quoted that 850HP with a "cheesy" program. I was just passing on the (incorrect) results of a poor program.

Of course, if someone told me my setup was making 850 with some "cheesy" program, I would be sure to buy that program and brag about what's under the hood, with the "cheesy-proofs" to back it up :D

Scooper, thats kinda the opposite of how i like to do it. i like to say its mostly stock and then watch them cry when they cant even beat me on the bottle with their ricer making "600 horses" (yeah right).

Not to be smart ass but my setup was stronger than a roush 347, unless he's putting them together with good blocks these days.

I think i'll stay with my setup but with a different block, pistons, rods and valvetrain. Gonna go for 700hp on motor and hit it with the old reliable 250 shot.

I don't have any friends that drive fast cars, much less race...therefore, I can brag about numbers and nobody knows any different. In fact, I can make up my own numbers...Kinda like cheating. :evilsmile

    Stephen-
What kind of block was the Doc running in that yellow Mav at the Roundup this past July? Didn't he say that it was a destroked 302-punched out to like 280+/-something cubes?
I know it was an all iron block with iron heads turning 8K+. I don't remember him calling it a Mexican or SVO block.

I think that you did quite well with that block to have held it together that long. Is the crack located where it would have started causing oil pressure problems or was it just where everything would come apart?

Sorry for the problems, but i'm glad you checked it. I would never think you could make that much power on a 302. I let some guys at work watch the video, they were so quiet when watch the video you could here a mouse walked across the floor. It took a second or two before the started talking about it. I guess it had to sink in. It couldn't have been me. No way...I could not take that ride without doing something on my self.
