I go "worng" because the entire cam is too flexible to function correctly without the steel backing. It either works one way and not the other, or doesn't work at all (most will click "on", some with some excessive pressure needed, then they just make the clicking sound and don't trip the turn signal all the way off). I think it has more to do with the square hole that the turn signal rod connects to...it flexes a little where the steel-backed hole does not. I have bought 3 or 4 so far, and spent around $30 for them from various locations, including AutoKrafters, HELP from Autozone/O'Reilly, etc. and none have the steel plate riveted to the back. I might have to try to epoxy my steel plate to the back of an aftermarket one and see if it stiffens it up enough to make it work...
You guys need to learn the difference between a "typo" and misspelled word. Tom's was a typo. Gene's....
Honestly, I left out the "r" so that I could be like Tom, that's all. I do misspell words all the time though. I would use a spell checker if I had one to use while on the forum. I have looked at my tool bars and don't seem to find one.
I have AIM and use it all the time. Like most that use AIM, I leave mine on 24/7 with an away message when I'm not on the computer (it's like an online answering machine ). I added the user name "smarterchild" to it a few years ago. SmarterChild is an AIM "bot" that automatically responds, meaning it's a computer on the other end instead of a person. It also has this neat little dictionary... everytime I'm unsure of the spelling of a word, I just click smarter child and type "define (whatever the word is)" It'll be like, did you mean "whatever the word is"? Why yes, yes I did, thank you.
AOL Instant Messenger. Free online instant messageing service... http://aim.com My screen name has been Jamie Miles01 since like 1997. I stopped upgradeing mine at version 5.5 because I didn't like the way the new versions looked or worked...
By the way Blu, I knew you mispelled it on purpose...that is why I followed with " " and especially the " "
