    Checked a few time for rain water in the back seat floor. This time it stayed dry. A month or so ago it rained HARD for 2 days straight and I found about an inch of water in the floorboard. :mad:

    Stripped all the paint off my new headers using chemical stripper and a wire wheel, then painted them Rustoleum 2000 degree silver.

    I don't know whether the paint I used will handle the heat and keep the rust off, but I know the paint the manufacturer used won't. :rolleyes:

    Nothing to lose but my time... :huh:

    I found that...heating...the headers with a tourch to ...hotter than touch...burns off any moisture/residue...I direct the flame into the ports and collector, trying not to smoke the outside.
    let them...cool to touch...and paint.
    you can see the steam/smoke coming off the header. I think burning this off helps stop the paint from blistering.
    my friend Harold showed me this...:Handshake

    Detailed the brackets to go w/ my new AC underhood setup. Ran new copper tube to replace the plastic line on my aftermarket oil gauge. Also, did some maintainance on my daily driver "99Windstar". Got to keep the dd running for sure. This was the second time I worked on the car this year; weather was the reason, I got something done. Beautiful day w/ temps just abv 60 and sunny all day. Hope to reinstall my heater box this week, if I can get some help. (y)

    Hard to believe it was long underwear weather a few days ago and shirt sleeves today. :burnout:

    After moving, and losing a bunch of stuff hidden in boxes and placed who-knows-where, I found a box with my new and improved blinkers. I installed them. They work. About a year too late!

    Laughed at a furious kid in a honda who tried to cut over in front of the mav on 265 here in louisville... he wound out, and i still had room to go... seem to fall more in love with her every day... just makes you smile when you pass a fart-cann'd del sol...

    then took her on an evening cruise, before pulling her back into the garage.

    Replaced the heater/ac box after having it out since November. Went thru the box, replaced vac. motor, painted all the metal parts, replaced all the old foam insulation w/ rubber and re-arranged some wiring thru the firewall to new aux fusebox. I finally got some help w/ getting the box replaced and only took 20-30 mins to finesse in. Had tried it by myself - that was a no-go.
    Also, took the car out first time since Nov., only went abt 3 mi. but felt real nice.
    The weather today was nice abt 68 and was great day to be workin under the dash - not in 90 deg heat. The heatbox was holding me back - I can pick-up the pace now the wx is favorable and most of the things I wanted to do on the interior hinged around getting the box re-installed. :D :D
