Just now I patched rear quarter panel and fender well, Pass side.

    My next plans are to...

Gonna order & use 3m adhesive and stick cowl back on in the coming days.

Then stick rearend back in and pull the old lady out, have front end aligned and start sanding the body down and get ready for paint :dancing:

Still gotta order carpet, headliner, and oddball stuff and figure out what material/color to use on door panels and dashboard.

Yesterday I replaced my damaged flex fan with a 5 blade factory part... With all the dents in it from the alternator bolt backing out I had a vibration... All is good now.... :thumbs2:

Soo, Left hand on Line Lock window squirter, right hand on shifter handle, waitign for light to go green, what hand os on the steering wheel? Even if your right hand is on the wheel, then release the lone lock when the light turns green, move left hand to wheel, then right hand to shifter to shift to second, I think is too much movement and hands on and off the wheel for a drag car. Imagine doing all this when the car gets loose off the line and you need to stay in the throttle to keep it straight.

Agreed. Sounds like to much room for error to me.

Finished a round-trip between southern California and Northern California yesterday, have now put 1000 miles on her personally. Real great car, especailly for the cruise up and down the 5!:tiphat:

For every ~400 miles she loses almost a quart of oil but the real problem seems to be on startup (especially warm). It doesn't blow clouds of blue smoke out the exhaust once started so I'm betting valve guides rather than piston rings. I'm thinking 302 swap rather than get the head redone though, seems like it'd cost too much for too little benefit to fix the 6. Too bad, too, it's in great shape otherwise!
