    Brake Job

Did you rebuild your wheel cylinders and master cylinder or were they serviceable as they were? I've got to do a complete brake job on my 71 Comet 2dr and I've got a $150.00 parts list to fill before I start the work and rebuild kits are far less expencive than all new brake master and wheel cylinders.

As of last night we pulled the car out for the first time in about two months, having completed the following - new door gaskets (upper & lower) - new trunk gasket - new carpet - stealth stereo system - and it jams baby!!!

I kept looking and looking at this thinking, "WOW, that is the cleanest most natural looking installation of a late model 5.0 I've ever seen in a Maverick - heck, it even looks exactly like a Fox body Mustang engine bay - I wonder how he did that ?!?!?!?!?"

    :banghead: :rofl2:

How often do y'all take Census/Inventory? Once again I own: 1) 1971 Comet 2dr, 2) 2006 Ford 500 SE, 3) 2007 Ford Focus and 4) 2008 Ford Ranger XLT. The Comet(1971 Model) is undergoing complete restoration and conversion from the vanilla 250 I6 & a bad C-4 to 302 V8 and modified C-4, the engine is getting a set of Hedman 88300 Headers, Comp Cam w/ 512 lift for both intake and exhaust and an Eldelbrock with a single 4V Holley 650cfm Carb. The Comet was originally a RED color but I will repaint it to the "Burgundy" or Dark Red same as my wife's '06 500 SE. I've currently got front and rear V8 crossmembers , a set of V8 engine mount brackets and a set of 302 motor mounts purchased and awaiting delivery. I will get a '68 302 and an upgraded C-4 from a convertible '68 Fairlane GT next week to be installed the first week of March 2012. I will then rebuild the entire suspension, steering and braking systems and expect to pass Texas State Inspection NLT 15 June 2012.

Painted some more parts under the hood.
While I was watching paint dry and drinking many Beers ( best part about working on a car. :beerchug: ) I saw a old flex fan and put it on the Mav.
Thats got to be good for at least 75 hp.......RIGHT? :character0182:

    200-6 + flex fan = :burnout:
