I welded, then I ground, some more welding, more grinding, and a little bit of blasting, and sanding....

Started tearing out the old 6 banger in this car:

in preparation for this to go in it's place:

Except I'm changing to an Explorer intake/GT40 heads to keep it under the stock hood and get a little more power and putting a Ford Motorsport 'F' cam in it. Getting a '57 9 inch slapped under it and of course disc brake conversion up front. Will have a built C5 behind it. Should make a fun little sleeper.

Hopefully can get the intercooler mounted a bit lower so it won't need hood pins. After all, they'd subtract from that totally stock granny look... :evilsmile

Grabbed the battery out of the popup camper to test out what lights and electrical items are in working order.

All the lights work and the horn works but the fan and wind shield wipers don't work. Have to sort that out some time soon.

Talked to a great friend that I have known since the 2nd grade. Working a deal with him for parts from his wrecked and long go disposed of 94' Cobra. Picking up the front spindles and disc brakes, complete 8.8 rear end with the stock limited slip and 3.73 gears to include the disc brakes, T56 6 speed, aluminum drive shaft, and Cobra upper and lower intake.

At this time I don't think I will do any fuel injection but maybe later.

Too bad he does not have the engine any longer.

Looking for a 302 and C4 to drop in the car for now with the other modifications to come later.

I didn't take any pictures of the rebuild, what i can do is take pictures of the remaining parts of the rebuild and try to explain what i did.

I didn't use a rebuild kit, what i used was an actual steering box that was in good condition and used those parts along with the ones from the box i took out from my car and selected the ones in best shape to rebuild the box.

I can take some pictures tomorrow.:)
