Dropped off my "N" case traction loc carrier, from my 9 inch rear, at the speed shop today to be rebuilt. Also changing the gears fron 3.50 to 3.89 :)

Dropped the motor off at the Machine shop after the dyno pull last weekend.
Gromm was not happy with the oil pressure being 59psi at 7,000...so we are going to replace the pump with high volumn instead of standard pump (or course this means blueprinting the new pump again).........anyone need a good slightly used Melling blueprinted standard oil pump?
Then he replace the 1 piece seal that pop'd out and pinned it in 3 places...
    should stay now.
We had an issue with the rocker arms not quite being on dead center of the valve tip............remember these are TF Twisted heads.............and he is going to have to split the TF guide plates.......adjust them and weld them back together...............good thing is that with the 3/8" push rods this will move them further away from the exhaust port as they were really close.......................then should be able to bring it home tomorrow and start putting it back in the car..................hope it remembers where home is since it's been almost 8 months............................

Got some sub-frame reinforcements made for the rear sway bar mounts. Using a 6" piece of 2X2X1/8 angle iron on each side, cut, curved, and welded to fit the curves of the sub-frames. The U-bolts are being replaced by bolts, with the heads thinned down, welded onto the angle iron to mount the sway bar bracket.

Will bolt everything in place tomorrow and take it to a muffler shop on Friday to get the reinforcement permanently welded to the sub-frame. Each piece has two bolts thru the sub-frame but the welds will really secure things.

The U-bolt mounts were starting to pull thru the sub frame. :yup:

Isn't that just fun? I made a killer mess in the house as I dissected the harness pulling out all the crap I didn't need. It was a HUGE amount of wire, took the left overs to the scrap yard and got $45 for it.

You realize that with all your old chrome when you try to put it back on with new paint. It is like a disease. :D

Brought the motor back home.............again.................now just need to hook up the trans and see if I can get them both back in the car..........it's been a long time.
After seeing the dyno results the machinest didn't like the 58psi @ 6800 oil pressure, so a blueprinted HV pump has taken it's place, new one piece rearmain seal that is pinned in 3 places, and although the geometry on the valvestem/rocker looked good before the run, after (in an as run condition) didn't look good..............so we cut the pushrod guide plates in two pieces, re-did the geometry.............welded them back together (these TF Twisted
Wedge) heads are a pain........and even ordered these guide plates directly from TF............so, everything is the way it should be..........at least for this season..................assuming we get this
    Maverick back on the track.........................soon
