Need to finish my rebuild on the motor, I bought all seal/gaskets to replace them. Spark plugs/wires. Air filters, oil filters, fuel filters, Belts, done.
So now ...? Dunno lol. Runs great but yeah...looks like crap still lol.
And no exhaust to speak of has a 4 foot rusty pipe attached to the manifold right now lol.
Thursday this coming up week its going in for a complete straight stock exhaust...as I don't think a rumble set up would sound worth beans on my I6.

Pulled the T5 to replace a leaky front seal. Tomorrow I start welding the new exhaust.

I wish I could either.. Have the right tools for the jobs, or have the patience to save up for the tools then get the parts... As I seem to be spending 3-9 hours a day on my car and no outward sign of work being done

Spent 3 hours driving around and searching for some bolts for my water pump pulley now that i'm switching to electric fan..didn't find anything to fit. anything that was close threaded for about the first 3-4threads and jammed up. so obv. the thread or pitch was diff.

The mav is gone but i'm still here!

I don't know about the fairlanes but the 66 falcon/comet is almost impossible to find parts. And when you do they're 3-4 times as much as maverick parts!

They look awesome though, I wouldn't mind owning one :thumbs2:

I drove my beast to Lewiston and back. Round trip 256 miles. No muffler/exhaust. My heads killing me.. not sure if its the noise of the rattling pipe... or the exhaust or both. But I did get a set of maverick wheel covers, and meet a few cool car guys in the process.

Car didn't die... so must of put the motor back together right...
I must admit, I prior to buying this never even changed my own oil, as I never cared enough about cars to learn. I mean jiffy lube was fine for my first car, Toyota Corolla, which is the car I had just prior to my 71 mav!

4-14-2012 date of purchase. So less than a month of learning, and working on my car...seems A LOT longer somehow :16suspect
