Pulled into the backyard...stomped it and got squirrelly for the company. Then I parked it and cracked open an adult beverage. A 250 seems like a powerhouse in the grass! Lol

I would try the grass thing...but I only have a 200 CID so... less power house.

That and I don't have any grass to try it in...and I don't want a ticket for doing on neighbors or city parks lawn.. :bouncy:

My old 200 got 26 mpg on the highway but honestly wouldn't brake torq on a wet road. Must've been a gearing thing. :16suspect

Over all a less than productive day. I started her up and listened to her run for a bit with a little bit of hillbilly rigging. Scuffed all the old rust off the gas tank before I seal it later.

Mounted the fuel cell, N2O bottle and brackets, battery box and the battery kill switch in the 73.

Did a bunch of grinding and sanding then I decided to fab a bracket for the rachet shifter that we are using. I had to cut a piece of sheet metal a little larger than the opening for the factory automatic floor shifter then weld it over the factory trans. inspection panel. It is a little high but I think it will work great once we get the racing bucket in it.

Last night we were running 1/4 mile lol bumped the limiter in high (6,700) i think it was just to much shock load for the stock rods/bolts.

You can only push these junkyard motors so far the cast aluminum pan done a good job containing the mess id hate to think of what a full oil drop at 140+ would had been like

Good job on keeping everything off of the track. Sorry to hear about the car though.
