Drove my blue 1976 4-door over to Fairmount, Indiana for the James Dean Car Show, then over to Gas City for the Duck Tail Run. Back again tomorrow.

I did some wiring clean-up on my newly installed daytime running lites, installed a new dizzy cap and rotor. I had plans on coming to that event. Water pump gave up the ghost - that put an end to that. Glad it went out in the garage. Not to disappointed, not walkin to gud since my knee surgery so I can spend that time and money fixing the water pump,.

Got it out and drove it some while I'm cleaning out the garage.

Is that 100amps at idle?, and who's did you get?
Just curious, as I have replaced mine with an East Coast Auto Electric 114amp.

Removed my old water pump today. Not as bad as I had invisioned w/ the car having ac compressor. I did not have to move or loosen the comp to get the pump off. The Sanden unit/kit frm Classic Air is mounted so that's not necessary. Anyway, got the old unit off today and will finish the job forthwith. No hurry, doing some other detailing while I have all that stuff out of my way.

I really don't know, It's a tough stuff alt. 3 wire... I'm not sure how it works but I do know that volt Gage reads 12.9 to 13.1 at idle and my old one idled at 13.7 volts... The new one drops to 12.7 with the head lights on, the old one dropped to 11.6 with the head lights on....

That doesn't sound right. Your charging rate should be upwards to 14.2 volts. At 11.6 to 12.9, I would be looking for something not quite correct :)

I'm not sure why the dash guage doesn't match the actual charging volts at the battery.

I've had cars, where the guage gave volt number readings (not just low to high), and they matched the battery volts. Without them matching, I'm not seeing what purpose the guage serves?

New-to-me rear valence that I brought back from Arizona got painted flat black. Ordered installation hardware from johns mustangs, and since they are in houston, should have them by middle of the week. Then rear license plate can go back on.

Pulled that NOS front valence out of the attic. Never pulled it out of the box after buying it on e-bay several years back. Was going to wait until I painted before I put it on. Well...good thing I put it on today. It is NOT NOS!!! In pretty good shape, but it definitely has some bends and damage to it.

Put front license plate back on.

Shot some hi-temp flat black on front of aluminum radiator, just a mist, to hide it behind the billet grille.

Then moved my air compressor to the middle of the garage near my tool box and generator, so my truck does not hit it when I pull it in the garage. Need to hire electrician to run a new 220 to the ceiling just above it so I can get power to it again.

Came inside to watch the rainy day, as the cold front blows through, and enjoying a beer!
