Tried to get my new MIG welder going but found out it needs a different drive roller to feed .023 wire. So I had to order one.

You can't just flip it around? Most rollers have 2 different size grooves.

That's what I thought. The Hobart 140 only has grooves for solid wire (smooth) and flux core (grooved) .030-.035.

Fyi if any of you have a Hobart Handler, the only other drive roller they offer is for .024-.035 V smooth solid wire.

I called their tech line and they said that roller feeds the .023 wire. Sort of confusing to me.

Had a productive afternoon/evening! Finished welding up the spring perches on my 8.8" rear, and welded the tubes to the housing. Then proceeded to get it set back under the car. Also got a 90 Mustang tach fit into the dash, now just to do some detail finishing work which I didn't have the patience to do tonight!

Thanks for the pointer... been wanting to post a msg for months!
Just had no clue how to do it, and didn't know how to ask for help.

I already got 1 response, so with camera-in-hand, I'm going to
photograph the old heater box, so others know what I need.

    Thanks again!!

I wish I could find a Vespa, I had one along time ago and loved it!!
It's the white Maverick I have been trying to get for so long, finally nailed the guy down long enough to get the title done and pay him.

Bought myself a b-day gift for the maverick... a car cover as it isn't running and I don't want it buried in snow :biglaugh:

Going to have to drive mine 100 miles to and from work, since the truck is still in the shop.
