What did you do to your Maverick or Comet today

    Put a new key switch in it the old one broke, added a set of cheap junk harbor freight gauges for safety lol found out they actually work and are close to accurate

    scraped and scraped what looks like factory rock guard on the inside of the quarter panels...jeez i scraped forever and there is still a fair bit.. most of the super thick stuff is off so now i can probably give it a shot with aircraft paint remover.

    mine had the factory undercoating, cracking and peeling...
    I scraped it off...
    then wire brushed the wheelwell...
    primed it with...Rust Bullet...
    painted it with...Rustoleum 7777...

    So far painted the bottom of the trunk lid and the trunk opening....gotta go do more!

    gave the machine shop another $200 towards the new 347 only another $550 to go then its time to start paying on the super charger

    Well it's not what I did to it, it's what I got for it!! 30 feet of vinyl came in for me to cut the stripes out of.....mmmm white and bright!! reflective too :thumbs2:. also got the new heater core today, ripping interior out tomorrow.

    hey so i did not have any idea how those work..i thought it would beat the hell out of my car lol...looks super gentle..my dad's had a brand new one in the box for years un-used maybe ill give it a shot tomorrow.

    Gutted it!! found a rat nest and a billion acorn shells along with some corn kernals, this rat lived under the back seat and in the headliner, geeze gotta wear gloves to tear it out and clean up the huge mess.:eek:
    Right now it's a rat rod!!
