    I didn't check it. I was sick as a dog when swapping rocker shaft and forgot to hook up the vacuum advance line. Didn't notice it until I got to Frank's house. I used 1/8 tank on the 70 mile trip back home at 80 mph. I still need to loosen up the advance curve inside the new distributor.

    thats pretty well priced for sure..i think id be around 200 or so for that.

    and once again...today i sanded for a couple hours after work....the rockers on my car sure had a lot of dings...put some more filler on where the old gt stripes were sanded off...grooved it when sanding with an orbital.

    then i moved onto the chevelle and blocked that for an hour or so..just too exciting of a night..

    Trying to replace the old "bolts" in my ladder bar setup, just got a quote for;
    MS21250-10050 @ $54 ea. and I need 2 (5/8-18 w/3.125 shank)
    MS21250-08014 @ $65 ea. and I need 4 (1/2-18 w/.875 shank)
    MS21250-12022 @ $75 ea. and I need 2 (3/4-16 w/1.375 shank)

    The grade 8 just didn't stand up..............the old bolts...............really don't want to use them anymore as they are very worn.

    Anyone get a good deal on AirCraft hardware???????????????

    Do you think that I would be expecting anywhere near this kind of wear using grade 8 hardware with my 4 link?

    Well...................if you are 500lbft or torque or more...............I'd say yes, but when talking to a couple of ProMod friends.... they change rod ends and bolts on a regular basis....................when threads are going through rod ends you are only getting 1/2 surface contact...........the other half is the air between the threads............unless the shank goes completely though the rod end........................IMHO

    Well, I guess to my benefit my car will not be a hard launching drag car - more of a fun street car. I do believe my bolt shank does go all the way through the rod end and all of the bolts are 3/4 grade 8 - a little overkill, I suppose. I was always under the impression that ladder bars lives a fairly harsh life compared to a 4 link :)
