Found out that new billet thermostat housing won't fit. Now taking the original housing off the old intake to clean and repaint.

Got a estimate today for the Maverick. $980 to straighten the front a back valances plus paint them, paint the trunk and surrounding area, paint under the hood to fix the exploded battery acid, and to fix my door from sagging and paint the door jams. Also went and got a estimate for replacing the vinyl top only $250!!!! Woohoo...

BTW anyone need a white vinyl top. The one I bought from autokrafters isn't going to work for me. Has 2 rows of stitching, my old one has 1 row of stitching. You pay for shipping!!!

Your halo vinyl top shouldn't have any stitching....it is one piece.

    Thanks Craig,
Didn't know that. I will have the upholstery guy correct that for me.
Anyway, I still have the vinyl top from autokrafters lol. It was for a full top not a halo top.

Put on custom made power steering pressure hose.......never again will I do anything to the power steering, if it fails me again, it will be converted to manual!
BOTH hoses sprung leaks at the same time, thats good though....at least I could replaced them both at the same time this go around.

Got the heater installed and a few more small parts. Still got a long row to hoe before this little project is finished. You're looking rite at 2-1/2 rolls of Peel & Seal on the cowl/firewall/toe board/kick panels.

Well, it got a temporary stay of execution. My brother totaled his '92 Nissan Sentra last Monday, so we went to NC, tossed a battery back in the Maverick and brought it back home this past weekend. He's going to drive it for a few weeks until we get another vehicle going for him.

Looked and tried to figure out how the brackets re-mount for the new AC compressor setup. The originals have been off over a year and things have gotten foggy on how to replace them. I have some pix somewhere - I need to find them.
Also, started removing my Autogauge triple setup for new Autometers. The water temp gauge went south, "after only abt 15mos", so I decided to bite the bullet and go with the ones that match my tach. I shud have got them at first. If I wanted to replace the water temp gauge in the "Autoguage" setup, I had to buy another tri-setup; I did'nt see anywhere I cud get one gauge seperate.

Its a shame to cover all that purdy up with a Dash...maybe you could just mount the guages to that steering column brace and leave it like it is.:bowdown::bowdown:
