Put reversed bottom leafs from another set of springs, and removed those !@#$%$%^^& slapper bars! Car rides a lot better, but haven't put any power to it yet. Got to get the frame rails fixed.....sway bar is eating into them.

had another european mini meet! Phil was visiting Aachen, a town about a 45min drive from Cologne. So I had to drive over, especially as he brought me some nice spare parts.
Here's a pic of us posing in front of my Comet:

front disc brake spindles that'll go into a friend's mustang, deluxe door panels i'll try to refurbish for my car, a set of mint high back buckets and a box of various parts...

it's awesome to see that these cars are finally getting some attention and that the scene is growing. parts floating around, people helping out each other - makes it so much nicer.

Picked up my Lower Control Arms this morning, they look great, beefy looking!
$55.77 for the pair, just the bushings by themselves were $17.00 and change each, so for a few bucks more I got the lower Ball Joints also!

They are a bit diff. than originals notice the blue boot/dust cover, yes those look beefy that you have a pic of but I'm pretty sure they have a higher price also!

You know the ole adage, you only get what you pay for.
I hadn't noticed the blue boot, I wonder if it is a poly material which is stronger than rubber???
Yes, the one on the left is twice the price you paid, and the one on the right are like I have just installed......................and if you have to ask how much.......................well, yes they are expensive, but do have threaded ball joints like NASCAR uses.......so they are replaceable:Handshake
