    I finally installed the shock tower braces, tossed the KYBs(stiffer than a honeymoon dick) and installed a set of new Monroe shocks Brian had on hand, actually rides pretty good now... Along with having a rear view mirror it's almost civilized...

    Which KYB'S did you have? I have them on my car and I like them. I can tell you I don't like a stiff ride. I have/had the General 4leaf rear springs on my car. I removed the bottom spring cuz the car road like a hvy duty truck, felt every ripple in the road. I replaced all shocks on the Comet w/ KYB'S and on my Windstar van. They don't have any ride quality issues IMO.

    I have KYBs on the Cobra Jet and are great but on the Comet feels almost like they are locked up, no compliance at all... I run the T-Bird's adjustable suspension on firm and is stiffer than the CJ but no where nearly as harsh as Comet...

    BTW shocks are the common white, Gas A Just same as on Cobra...

    drove Patches down to Harolds shop and put it on his drive on lift to get a plan for the next mod...:bouncy:
    it took us 8 hours to remove the stock front suspension and install the...RC-107 kit...(rack-n-pinion). he estimated about three days for this one...:whew:

    this is a different mod that will take about three days...sorry for the confusion.
