Did you have any issues installing the Unisteer kit? Did you install it with the engine in or out?

I have been stripping my 74 down to the bare body , before blasting . After the last 4 projects all being old trucks , I am amazed at how many parts are on such a small car . I am starting to remember why I restore old trucks .

rotorr22 The kit is pretty to install on a 302 with the engine in. I would recommend a helper when putting in the rack, one handed bench pressing is not all that fun to do. I already had the column out so that sped up the process. Finding the right drive belt for the pump took multiple trips to the parts house.

The reason I ask is that I have the kit and was debating whether to install the rack before or after I reinstall the engine and tranny. I had a recent experience with a friend's Mustang II where we had to remove the tranny, bellhousing and starter flexplate to get the 302 out of it. There was insufficient room between the rack and the trans tunnel to remove the engine and tranny as a unit.

I too will have an issue with the belt in that I have a March serpentine system.

Joe.... I have two of those 5 lug slotted 15"wheels on the right and two four lug to match that I am going to get rid of. I like the other wheels too.

You have a great wife if she will allow a coffee table made out of car wheels. :thumbs2:
