The '71 shop manual says D is Bright Yellow(and may have well been called Grabber Yellow on a Maverick)... But it also says N is Platinum when in the real world it's Pastel Blue.. Only colors in the shop manual specifically called Grabber are Blue, Green & Orange...

Besides Bright Yellow, Code W is Yellow, O Lt Golden Rod Yellow & E Medium Goldenrod Yellow...Of course probably not all of these would have been available on Maverick(at least without a extra cost special order)...

Marti Report calls it "Grabber Yellow Paint, Ford #3470-A". Guys at work call it "Post-It Note Yellow"... hilarious...

Actually it was last night. We drove the Comet to Bristol TN/VA for a local cruise night. It was about a 50 mile round trip and is the farthest we've driven it since getting it ready for use. Happy to report it performed flawlessly.[IMG]

Had the tires balanced and aligned, getting ready for the summer. Also, painted the calipers front and rear.

added a third brake light. The car is for my son. So I figured anything I can do to improve on safety.

I took my cars to an employee only car show as part of the annual employee appreciation day here at Purdue University. Didn't win anything but had a blast talking to people about them. Mine are the Maverick (of course!) and the Trans Am (my daughter drove) next to it. (My friend's cars are the Studebaker, AMC Rebel and AMX in the back ground of one of the pictures.)

I removed my window and roof trim, pulled the rest of my vinyl roof off and started removing the glue and surface rust. I know most people don't like the patina look or think it cheapens the car, but I am clearing over the rustic looking roof for a year or two. I am using satin for the roof.
