This color is known as Thanks Vermillion, Home on the Orange, Calypso Coral or M1730A. I used PPG paint and I am very happy with how it came out. I had a post over a year ago about choosing colors. I had a lot of comments and thanks to whoever convinced me to go with this. It was a stock color for early Mavericks, not sure which years. See below picture from the original post, this is the far left one.

Looks great! Thanks for posting this, I'm in the process of notching front fenders for the stone guard. It's hard to find a good photo of the stone guard on the fender!

I've been looking at 1badgts bumper swap page, but the measurements from his notch don't seem to work for me or I'm not doing it right.. :) probably the latter....

My car must have been that color originally as there is some red paint under the orange.

They're available for the maverick and comets. There is also several other carbon fiber pieces available through his website. I still have a GT scoop that should be accompanying the trunk.

I went with the new 2010 grabber blue color code is CI. My only question now is what do i sand (if at all) with and which polish is safe to use now? and which is the best?

So it's a base coat clear coat? How does the finish look? Any orange peel or runs or any issues with the clear. What kind of clear did you use. I'd let the clear dry up and harden before doing it. If it was my car I'd let a professional do it. It's a ton of work and if not done properly you run the risk of burning through areas (especially corners).

It is a base coat (Limco Supreme PLUS Basecoat) clear coat (LC4100 High Solids Clearcoat). It looks good.It is a very shiny finish and it went on really smooth. It does appear though that i didn't let the base sit long enough on the driver side panel before clear coating because there are little bubbles that have pushed there way through. Hopefully they are just on the surface or will be hidden when i sand and polish. thanks for the link by the way.

Its a learning project car so i will be doing the sanding and polishing myself though i agree that if i had the money i would have somebody else do it. Saving for re-upholstering the seats and all.
