I don't have a clue.. but this might be better discussed in the technical section to keep from muddling up this particular thread? Plus it'll just get buried in no time anyways.

It is a float bowl vent, it really doesn't need anything on it. It is part of the evap system to keep fumes from the atmosphere.

Adjusted the steering box, got the toe in close enough to drive after finishing the inner and outer tie rods, centerlink and idler arm with Moog parts.

Had it lined-up, Motor Vehicle Inspection done and drove it home all legal-like for the first time in almost four years...

Put in a rebuilt 325 pumpkin in place of my loose 380. First time and it took me 5 hours. Spent the rest of the day breaking in the new differential! Much better rpm at 60 mph (2400 vs 3000) ish. I think I'm gonna like it better and it still seems to have enough power for me. Also, I can no longer see the gas guage moving.

I clicked the first pic.. ooohhhh. Then I clicked the second... aaahhhhhh. Thought to myself.. wait?!.. is this a Comet or a Shelby Mustang?

Killed the picture and looked at the avatar and was relieved that it wasn't another Mustang I've seen a thousand times before. :tiphat:

Finish installing SPC - upper control arms, roller spring perches, cleaned up and undercoated the wheel well area. Had a ruff time on the passenger side; thought I had the spring cock-eyed in the top of the tower, went to remove it but had hell of a time removing cotter pin from ball joint " the 90 deg heat didn't help either". After a lot of sweatin & cussing gave up and got it out next day. Strange, how putting things aside for a day can make a world of difference -- took me a lot of years to figure this out.
Took the car for a drive and noticed an improvement in ride & handling w/ 2 deg. caster built into the arms -- now just have to get alignment and see what really has changed/improved. Actually, did this work over a 10 day period along w/ some other repairs, stymied by heat & humidity -- cud not wait any longer, need to get this thing rolling.

    Hi Everett:
Glad you're making progress on your Comet . I have yet to align my Daughters Maverick with the Borgeson Steering setup so we' ll know THEN if our efforts have paid off . I ' ll keep in touch and let you know what develops here . Has to feel good driving your Comet again eh ? Mine has been sitting for weeks now since we're involved in
the re-build of my Daughters Maverick . There's a lot of Car Show action going on this summer and it's nice to be
    able to participate .

Started on replacing the seals on my c4. Got everything apart but stumped on how to get the larger seal ring in to its groove without tearing up the rubber. Got some good advice to use a socket of similar size to tap on. Will try that.
