I took off the Intake not to long ago to see if the gaskets were causing the overheating issue, they were torn and all but that wasn't the worse thing to happen. I later took of the water pump I ordered from Summit Racing and manufactured by Flowkooler to find out that the manufacturer didn't install the propeller within the water pump! I think I may have solved the overheating issue, lol! If not then It'll have to be a new engine from there!

Miss Belle comfort tested my recently installed bench seat as I tightened up bolts for my power brake booster. WP_20160717_19_04_38_Pro.jpg

I had a 6 toed cat like that once who had a 6 toed kitten named Susie Six toes lol.
Not a cat person anymore but that cat was 1 of the best and funniest when it would sit on it's hind legs and toss pecans across the room after we picked them up for pies and fudges. The pecans not the cat lol

Finally finished oven cleaner stripping the grille :spam: 5 cans of lemon scented heavy duty easy off.
I started using 1 minute liquid epoxy to bond the cracks back together on since it's split, I rebuilt the lower 2 tabs out of tripled up beer can which I'll epoxy to it before painting too and I have 6 - 50 lb bags of sand so I can blast my original calipers & rotors to put on the car (just so it can be put together roller and driven around the yard with some brakes)

I was thinking about getting one of their pumps, if/when I ever need a replacement - might have to reconsider.
I guess it's best to check all pumps for an issue like this -- lot of work and frustration to discover
    it like you did.

Wow, is right.. gotta love today's "let's hurry up and make more money" quality control. Would be curious to see that. Can you post a picture?

Also keep in mind that the impeller design of those pumps is often hidden by a flat disc that hides the impeller. Which is actually where flowkooler got their design from years ago. A lot of roundy round guys were riveting round sheet metal plates onto the backsides of the factory impellers to reduce cavitation and improve flow.

So here is the pictures of the Flowkooler water pump without the propeller (Left) compared to the stock pump (Right). The other pictures is of the new pump next to the picture on the box of what the propeller is supposed to look like! I have sent it back for a replacement though and I'll make sure that there is a propeller in the new one when it comes back!

Flowkooler = Flowkiller on that one. Glad you caught that before it turned into Chernyobl.

Tear down of front end to body work the dents, dings, and beat smashed up places of the front end.
Also the fun of taking the cowl off to seal the pin holes which are dripping into the floor boards so they don't rust through. 1 of the main threads I read here was Paul Masson's restoration and so I feel confident I can tackle it. I won't be going to the extremes he did in the long run of pulling motor etc but after I will weld the cowl shut - maybe 10 or less of the louvers on the passenger side so it can suck some fresh air for the a/c after I seal it underneath.

Torque boxes are solid and everything inside the cowl looks and feels solid. Had pine needles laying in there so I cut 7 of the louvers from the outside, cleaned the pine needles out, and found the typical rat's nest of seat cushion under the driver side.

Concerning leaving the louvers intact to allow fresh air in ... Actually you can seal it off and the system will
' scavenge ' any air it needs from other sources. Works just fine. We've sealed the cowl vent areas on seven cars
so far and they all work great.

I may do this and figure out if there is some kind of plug to cover the wiper heads when they're not in use like right now to also help keep out water while it's under construction and if they look decent just keep the wipers in the car later on when I daily it. Might sound stupid but I did it on my square body S10 or just ran 1 driver wiper and rain x or waxed the glass lol

I finished installing a small bumper stone guard on a 74. I cut out the notches with tin snips and filed them to fit nicely. After struggling to get the lower valence to line up nicely, I removed the stone guard. Then, with lower valence in place, filed some more to make it fit with the fenders spread out by the valence. Whew! my hands are tired of filing.:whew:
