My 11 year old granddaughter & I went out yesterday in the Stang, had a absolute blast... Went over to Newport News, via the James River bridge(a four mile span), top down, hair blowin' in the breeze... That was at least till it came up a sudden rainstorm and we got wet because the top doesn't seal very well to windshield... I told her she'd just enjoyed all the experiences of a old '60s ragtop...

I did forget to say, trade is only for a few days...

Doin' some tuneup work for a friend, he has the Comet in his garage so the Stang doesn't have to set outside at my house... I will say if he wanted to trade, the Comet would be gone in a instant... Not because I have a woodie for Stang rag tops, but because it's worth at least 2.5x the Comet...

You can trade if you want but you still have to hang out here as your knowledge is needed and appreciated, but glad it was for only a few days you had us going though.

Installed a PMGR starter. It was so much easier to put in than the factory one.

OK. So, since I dont know any better, and against prevailing advice, I am hooking my headers to a Y pipe and installing three inch single exhaust with a big superturbo muffler in the stock location. I dont want to hear anything unless my foot is in it......so far I got one hanger fabbed.

Dropped this nasty hunk of iron in the engine bay to make the move to our new house. I was going to rip into it and freshennit up until the 347 fell in my lap. Not sure what I wil do with it now, could put it in my next project I suppose. Only had 96,000 miles on it something tells me the oil needed changed for a very long time! If you look close you can see the spider for the roller lifters.

Sat evening my wife & I met up with some old friends at local cruise in for dinner... He took this somewhat cool B&W pict along side of their ''84 380SL(they also have two Torino GT converts but are currently down in NC)...

I asked him if his camera phone was a 1950 model...

For the first time in 17 months, I washed it. It lives under a sheet of 6 ml plastic normally, but I decided it was time to test the theory that my cowl was good. I rinsed it fairly good, and even sprayed water down the cowl. It ran out the bottom (outside) nicely and there was no water inside anywhere. The gas cap has a new gasket, but hosing anywhere near it still makes me nervous.

You're very fortunate to NOT have a leaky cowl . They can be a real PITA to repair .
