    had a swing of 14 degrees on the temp....replaced the T-stat and antifreeze today. drove about 50 miles with a 3 degree swing afterwards...:bouncy:
    more testing tomorrow...:chirp::drive:

    Finally finished the cooling system,hooked up heater core,added gauges... Soon maybe,but it seems like it's taking longer to finish up the little tidbits,than the big things... :yup:

    Added front turn signals,used spare 76 grille lights sorta mounted in the 72 location,to be legal... Finally got to test drive it around the block,to find the "bugs"... Found a lot of them...

    Installed stereo,gave it its first bath... Put in a set of points,the spring broke... Runs better now... :D

    Drove it about 25 miles,in a light rain no less... Got some quirks,but it'll be ok... The holley carb would serve as better target practice material than a carb... Maybe with a better carb it might :chirp:...

    Holley carbs are fine & will run great, just have to tune them correctly... I'd use a E'brock as a door stop before I'd put one on my engine...

    I remember hearing "use a Holley to go fast and an AFB (Edelbrock) to get groceries) when I worked in auto parts. Man we sold a ton of AFB's and 1850's back then!

    I wanna try out one of the Street Demon 625 with the polymer bowls. The problem is pump shot is far too slow no matter cam,pump arm or nozzle... Nearly 1/4 throttle before squirt... 3310 single line made from parts and a fresh kit and large box of holley parts...:dead:

    Well sumpthin' ain right... I can just barely crack the throttle lever on carb(I have three) and mine produce fuel... One of mine is a 1967 390GT carb that now 50 years old, runs great...

    If it isn't producing a pump shot till a 1/4 throttle, the 3310 is gonna fall on its face... Especially on a small engine...

    '72 Maverick, 347 c.i., w/ dual quads, TKO 600 5-speed transmission, back halved w/ 4-link, '16 F150, 5.0 Coyotte, regular cab, shortbed, lowered 3/5 & 1-owner '79 Trans Am.
    A friend and I replaced the front suspension (except for the springs) on my Maverick with Open Tracker replacements. I'll finish it up tomorrow and get an appointment for an alignment and see how she drives.

    Put in rear bearing in alternator,tuned it good,got the flat spot in the carb better,and fixed a small short to voltmeter... Oh,and the last valve cover gasket from the wall to the engine...
