got the Volvo fan and it's relay installed and working. the MSD Atomic EFI has a 2 fan controller in it that made this an easy install. only problem...the fan wanted to start up on high (a No No). I checked my install 5 times and still the same problem. I went on MSD's site and someone was having the same problem. what MSD found out was there tan fan #1 wire was switched with their pink fan #2 wire, after swapping the connections...:thumbs2:
I let it idle in the shop for 30 mins....the low fan came on at 185 and sitting there with the A/C on high the temp never went over 191...
    will do a little:drive:...:chirp:...tomorrow.

    A/C on...fan on low...(trinary switch)
    A/C RPM boost...MSD controlled.
    low fan temp 185...
    high fan temp 195...

Removed trans from the Grabber. Someone converted it into 3 on the floor at some point with a Hurst kit. Spent hours scraping off most of the many decades of oil build up most likely due to rear main seal leaking

I thought you had that thing on there a LONG time ago. I guess you was hotroddin' it. I still have the one we put on my car so long ago, and it is still working fine. I'll call you soon,

Rejetted my primaries to 63 jets down from 65's, hoping to get rid of the overrich smell and fumes. It worked out fine, and now I can let it idle inside with the door open, without a gas mask! Took it for a ride, and it seems a bit slower in the lower end, but worth the compromise. Not a racer anyway, just a cruiser. Later ya'll!

Sorry but the main jets have nothing to do with idle mixture...

Assuming no defects, controlled by mixture screws only...

Picked up a 73 comet today with 10k original miles! Bad floors but a decent body and cowl. It was left out in a field for 15 years. Should be a fun rebuild!

    Good Find Will:
Did you see where a Custom Maverick Grabber sold yesterday for $ 95.000.00. on Barretts Auctions ?
I was pleased to see one of OUR TYPE CARS at the auctions . Bidding went wild on the car. Nothing special about the car except ' extended fenders , Custom mesh Grille & floodlights . White Paint Job , I guess our cars are becoming more popular.
I expect to see MORE of Comets and Mavericks on that show in the future .

I actually did see it, it will be great publicity for the cars! It all went to charity which helped the price. The comet is a nice little car for sure, you wouldn’t happen to have an extra comet hood laying around would you? This one was repaired pretty badly in the past.
