Finally got my Hedman shortie headers installed, working on them off-on about a week. Drivers side went right in w/one issue: collector flange barely touching steering box. I cut a bout 1/8" around where bolt goes through and made it a slot.
If I had stock OE steering box, may not have had the issue -- don't know.

I did pass side today, only had to remove idler arm to slide it into place. Glad I didn't have to jack engine to get them in.
While I had headers off did lot of other things that I thought beneficial while I had access w/o headers obstructing.
Some things hindering the progress rate other than doing things w/o header obstruction, missing 4 header flange bolts, lost/misplaced return line for PS -- going to have one made. Getting it to muffler shop and hope to be able to make first big show 27th.

If a picture is worth a 1000 words, you can probably guess. The shackle bushings got replaced too.

Drove my 73 Comet to the Texas Mini Meet in Carrollton, Texas near Dallas.
We had 3 Mavs and 2 Comets. Two of the Mavs came in from Northeast Oklahoma.
We had a great time with food provided by Blugene and wife, from Oklahoma.

Fabricated a bracket & made spacer to mount alternator on drivers side to make room for my v1 vortech. Supercharger bracket mounts alernator really low on passenger side i just really didnt like that.
