I went to the junkyard to find a window motor for the wifes car, and also found some junk with a C4 in it. It had an H servo, so I bagged that cause I heard they were good for something. I started my car today after adding oil....new pan gasket doesnt leak yet....let it run for almost 10 minutes. Blue felppro one piece with a dab of sealer on the corners of the main caps. :bananaman:

3.25 with O.D.? I suppose you had 930 miles to think about it, but at cruise will your exhaust note be tame?

with my 1500-5500 cam it will be 2100ish RPMs at 80 MPH. I think that will be fine.

    Hi Frank:
Read your post about the 3.25 Gear . I've had one in my Comet with the 408 Fuel Injected and Tremec 5 speed to a 9" Rear End and on the last HRPT I averaged 21-22 mpg. Not too shabby for a performance engine setup. Still has
plenty of Bottom End and Cruises at 1900 - 2100-RPMs and 75 MPH on the highway. Great Gear !! The 70 Maverick has stock 5.0 fuel injected and 5 speed tranny ( Not Tremec ) and got 24-25 MPG at the same speeds.

Fixed the ignition switch on my Mav. Just a worn nub on the spline that locks in the switch, causing it to turn when you turn the key. Agravating, but not damaging. Just filed it square and installed it as tight as it would go.

New front shocks on the 4 door. The old ones had zero rebound and the rubber was dry rotted. Rides like a new car. I also removed the gas tank from my 2 door. 15 years of sitting was not kind to the inside of the tank. Going to need a good clean out before fresh fuel.
