Took mine for last ride of year.

Went by PO, needed to get a couple things in mail. Rain chased me home.

I replaced the upper control arms, spring perches, shocks and one inch lowering springs, all Scott Drake from CJ Pony Parts. Still working on the driver side but the passenger side is done. Looking forward to less squeaking from the front end while driving.

55 deg., sunny, mild winds here Saturday, took Winkie out for 20 mi. exercise. Got back to garage, parked on the apron to do a little tidying up/sweeping etc. Went to put car back in garage, hit stater-nothing. I know my battery dated 5/11/08, so it's on the list of things to change this season.
This was about 3;30pm, not wanting to get stuck outside this time of the year, gets dark and cold about 4:00. I decided to check voltage at battery, got 12.74, figured that was not an issue if no dead cell.
Got a wrench, removed pos cable, had just enough film to kill current for starting. Got my battery tool, cleaned both cables and post -- fired right up. Went for another ride. We've had 29days above average as of Jan. 07; last year most of the month was in the 20's and lower.. Shoveled snow only once this season -- can't recall many- if any years this kind of winter season...
