Does yours look like mine from front? Please share your part #. Thank you.
Today I had my carb rebuilt and replaced the valve cover gasket. The 200 i6 runs great!
Actually, I did both sides:
Scott Drake Exterior Mirror Standard Satin With Convex Glass Passenger Side 1967-1973
Scott Drake Exterior Mirror Standard Satin 1967-1973
The mirror glass and flag are almost identical the stock Maverick/Comet mirrors, but the Scott Drake foot is longer than our stock mirrors. I had to drill a new hole on the driver side for the rear screw. They are also satin finish as opposed to chrome, but they look like they belong there. Especially on my car, with its low-gloss faded paint.
Image shows install driver-side mirror with stock mirror above for comparison.
Thank you CA189HJN. Just what i wanted to knw.
hooked up the shift and throttle cables. now to to snap the cable to the gas pedal...test drive.
Installed 3.80 gears in the rear on my comet gt. 351W with AOD, cruised around with the gps to determine how bad off my speedo is now. Perfect gear combo for me. Showed 55mph at slightly over 1800 rpm, 72mph at a tick over 2300. Great power band now and stupid quick acceleration compared to the 2.79s that came out.
Sounds like a great combination. What is the advantage/purpose heat wrap on the tail pipes?
Finally got around to doing this. I always liked the 70 - 73 Mustang twist locks. Still a little tweaking to do but the hard part is over.
Do they latch to the radiator support?
I’m guess the exhaust is too close to the gas tank and causing it to heat up. I had the same issue on my 73 and did the same exact thing.
I used the factory latch supports for a 71 - 73 Mustang that attach to the radiator support at the hood bumpers, although they must be flipped around towards the engine.
Just a little too close to the gas tank
Changed out my supercharger belt to a new Gates HD, quick and painless.
Got my tach conversion done
I needed something more to do while I stay confined at home due to CoVid19. Changed the jets on a Speed Demon 650 I had and re-installed it in place of the 750 Speed Demon that was on my Comet. I still have some fine tuning to perform.
