Last night I found out my heater will make you roll down a window after a couple of miles. I'm blame it on the Peel & Seal :yup:

purchased more tool cabinets :) picked up a husky 48" top and bottom cabinet for $170 today from home depot. $130 off... it was missing the key for the top lock. well at least thats what home depot thought. the key was the same for both cabinets and the top lock was just jammed, yippee. ya ya, its not snap on, but if i wait to purchase expensive cabinets ill never have a place for my tools.

Ive been drawing/illustrating custom wire schematics for the maverick. Re-locating battery, and a 18 circuit fuse panel into the trunk with a enclosure.

TONS of wires = amazing time :)

I know I could go with a painless wire setup but I wanted to save money, and do it myself. Never done anything like this before, so I want to learn and the only way I can learn is to get my hands dirty.

I'll upload pictures of after I am finished with the setup / illustrating the schematics.

Here is a illustrated schematic of what Ill be doing in the trunk.

When re-locating the battery to the trunk would you normally move the starter solenoid to the trunk as well?

I have access to just about shape or size wire needed for my car also a full blown line of assortment of wire colors with different strips.

girlfriends family business does a ton of electrical for huge machines so they throw out anything less than 50 feet - they cant really use it because the size of the machines - they don't want to splice a bunch of small wires to make a long one. So they just toss them out.

Got stopped yesterday on the 347 install by a big time mis-match in the exhaust ports of the Dart heads, Doug Thorley shorties, and the gasket. All had different dimensions. Considered champhering the head and header ports but with the construction of the headers, that looked risky. The tubes are welded only on the end to the flange then planed flat. Looked like it would be easy to make a leak.

Today, I lifted the engine back out and trimmed the gasket to match the headers so it won't stick out into the exhaust stream any farther than the header flange. Think that'll have to be good enough.

Got the engine set back in place, the headers on, and the exhaust system in place. Still have to tighten a few things up.

In the picture of the whole header, the left two holes in the gasket are trimmed some and the right two are not. As the gasket was trimmed with a file, some of the material came off and some of the metal reinforcement wrapped around into the header tube.

Yesterday I played with the carb, this morning it's getting all the filters and oil changed and early next week the rest of the fluids will get done.

Well, it wasn't today but it was last weekend...

I FINALLY got up to David's house and picked up my Red Comet GT!

It was definately a trip from hell with the only good thing being meeting up with David! State Fair Traffic and Construction Zones on BOTH sides of the highway added to the drive time, the hotel I stayed in had Bed Bugs, and to top it off I got a case of mild food posioning on the way home!

Unloading the car I did find someone that hitch hiked the whole trip...

I wouldn't have minded except I'm allergic to them! It did surprise me that it made the trip from Kentucky to South Carolina!
