CAn't say I did today, but, over the past 5 weeks replaced timing chain cover, water pump, all associate water hoses, cleaned/degreased front of engine, new brake MC and new Holley 600 carb. Just put car back in service this past Saturday for 3rd. car show of season. Probably might not had taken so long, but, not working in garage in hot humid weather -- too old for that, esp., for something I really don't need.

Looked on Craigslist for the first time in awhile and found a local guy cleaning out his garage. Used to be a big maverick guy back in the 80s and 90s. Bought the last of his stash today. C0B4847A-C38A-454B-B785-A25D03F27C0A.jpeg

Looks like you found some of the elusive spoiler hold downs, are they all missing the nuts or just appear that way. One of these days I will be one of those big Maverick guys as I have several parts that need new homes someday just hard to get rid of right now

Getting rid of extra parts is very hard to do.

Went looking for a backglass lower molding at a local yard, didn’t feel like risking my life for a piece of trim.

There’s 1 two door & 4 four doors in this pile:(

Well the day turned out good after all, stopped by my friends house & picked up a rust free hood with some repairable damage for $20 and the backglass molding for free.:thumbs2:

Wuss :rofl2: there seems to be some Salvageable parts there for sure. Should be able to get some of them with out too much difficulty. Not gonna lie I have done some pretty dumb stuff to get parts before. Similar pile to that maverick was on the bottom, I climbed through a half crushed door to get inside to grab a part haha.

I climbed through a half crushed door to get inside of a car that had two other cars flattened on top of it to get a perfect dash pad. the dash pad is on my car now. the Guy at the junk yard gave me the pad, something about me being a crazy SOB...lol

If I was a young man like you I’d have no problem doing it, Bill had the molding and I didn’t have to go spelunking to get it.:whew:
