    Got tranny back Friday, passenger side front end all done, ready for tire, get other side done n ready to put the heart back in...

    Stock radiator could not take the 347. I had a custom radiator made by US Radiator. Took them three tries to get it done. This one fits and seems to be doing the job. Trans cooler lines were giving me some problems. I hope I have stopped the drips.

    Need to do a little more data logging to double check, but I think I finally have the '89 Mustang EFI finally tuned in.

    Today I pulled the master cylinder and gas tank. Looks like I had a master mechanic working on my wheel! I'm learning the disadvantages of owning a 70 model. No front brake lines and an expensive replacement tank!
    I do have a question, is there any value to a 1970 Maverick tank with a leak? I know they can be welded and repaired

    That gas tank has California emissions. The new repop gas tank will not have that....so you will probably have to do away with that.

    Took the A/C and Heater box apart to restore wow ?47 years of service did a number on it ..well hands on and see what could be done

    I dropped the front valance on my 73. There was rust showing where the valance mates up with the front fenders. There are 10 bolts, three along the lip of each fender, one at a brace on each side, and two in the middle of the valance. After dropping it I could see the rust on the fender and the valance itself. I ground out the rust to bare metal on the fenders and valance, cleaned the metal surface with metal prep, and coated the surface with Rust Bullet. Here is a shot looking up from underneath a fender. The rusted edge is visible when the valance is bolted up and one is looking from the side. The cutout for the signal light is already treated with Rust Bullet. The red is a bit of Bondo putty that needs to be sanded.
