Cleaned up under the dash wires. They were a mess. Unsuccessfully replaced my turn signal cam. Ordered a switch.

I actually found them in Burlington Wisconsin. Middletown Ohio is about a half hour drive from me. I'd like to find the owner of the car that they came off of.

Is the business still open? They may have pics of the car.
So cool! I'd run them as is.

    Cracked open my "new" 302 purchased from a fellow that got it in a trade...here"s what I found...castings indicate 1968 date..marked 302...casting
on heads match....crank...302..(m2)...all good ...took heads to my friend at Southwest Engine ....it has new valves, new hyd. lifters, new rings , new rod bearings, and new crank bearings.........however, the pistons, (stock) , are showing tiny cracks around the skirts... is this common in a 302 ? Block shows little wear..... This engine was assembled but never run...What else should I be looking for? besides new pistons? thanks ya"ll

Just thinking with all the work done in the engine way they didn’t put new pistons or cut the sleeves to the next properly size
Your friend at the machine shop will let you know the next step … sounds that you have a good engine enjoy it

I would check the piston to bore clearance and check the cylinders for wear out of round. Piston slap can crack the skirts. A lot of the time you can get away with just freshening the engine, which is evidently what they did. It would be a shame to spoil all those other good parts if the block needs bored. You definitely can't leave those cracked pistons in place.
