$3000 sounds fair to me for a V8 Grabber.

well, when you go...just be nonchalant about it...even though it's probably a good deal at 3K...keep your horses reined in, so to speak...if it's the car for you...you'll know it...:yup:

The owner of that ca ris a member here, so dont let out too much about what you would pay for the car. http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=84481

Looks like you will need both front torque boxes replaces and the frame supports that go out to the roccker panels, probably a little work to the floors anout the boxes too. Hope you are good with metal or know somebody who is. Do a search for torqu box rebuild or replace and see how involved it is. there have been some nice write ups from guys that have done it.

Is that a lot of work needed?I know some guy willing to weld stuff for me for a fair price I just wanted to know if it was still worth getting altough it has these minor details (torque box,etc .)

depends on how good a friend he is and what he would charge. this is more than simple welding I think. the frame need to be supported so it dosnt loose its shape while they are replaced, especially with the engine still in place. Search for the pics of what has been done to replace them. show those to yor friend and see if its something he can do and at what cost. If that really is the only rust damage then its not too bad of a deal but Ive seen rust free v8 cars go for less, just not a grabber.

Its some guy at a transmission shop..I guess I can't really say hes my friend but I've gotten work done by him and I go to him for any tranny related problems so hes real cool with me...I seen him doing framework so he told me he would probably be able to do it for me.....I seen pics on the torque box rebuild already... as long as u support the frame correctly you can still get the job done even with the engine in right? I really want this car but I dont know if Its gonna worth it in the long run...and what should I type in so I can show pictures to my friend?

That is a lot of rust in my opinion. I personally wouldn't tackle it but it depends on how much money your are willing to spend on it. I would take the pictures that you have to a reputable body shop and get a rough estimate. Do your homework and then make a educated decision. :tiphat:
