I feel the same...15's are big enough on any classic car. Anything bigger starts to look silly.

Looks like a circus wagon. Anything over 15" is a waste of metal in my opinion.

it has one of the better stances than the others I have seen on 22's.
I really do not like that particular wheel, seen other 22's I liked better, but the stance was all jacked up on them.

It makes a wonderful clown car, do you think they can make one wheel out of round so that the car kind of bounces like the old jalopys?:evilsmile 17" and 18" wheels used in a performance type look are cool but come on it is way too small of a car to run this size wheels.

I have 17's because a low sidewall corners better, but in my opinion 17 is the biggest wheel that can look right on a Maverick. Taste around here seems to lean pretty conservative with wheels. Some people even think mine look bad.

Regardless of size though - that style wheel just doesn't do it for me. Even if they were 14", I wouldn't even be seen hauling a trailer on those.

I don't mind the larger diameter wheels.....I'm even into 17's, not so much 18's, but they're acceptable in most cases. Except in professional racing, anything above that seems like overkill to me.

For "show" purposes though, I can understand the "statement" the 20"-22"-24" crowd is trying to make.....not my taste,...DEFINATELY not....

But, the biggest problem I have with these huge diameter wheels is their designs!....I mean, classic 5 spoke designs like the Torque-Thrusts, classic spokes, meshes, etc.....fine....even in 20-up inch wheels if that's your thing.....

But why on earth would anybody want wheels that look like chrome flowers or a bad "Spyro-Graph" done by a kid with poor hand/eye coordination that didn't read the directions?

It's not the OVER-the-top size of these wheels that really turn my stomach....it's that 99% of the designs they're produced in are tacky, gaudy, and just plain butt-ugly!

As for our beloved Mav/Coms.....anything over 17 or 18 (at most) is just WAY out of proportion to the size of the car....."statement" or not....it doesn't work, and just looks fugly

    IMHO, of course ;)
