Its hard to say not actually seeing the car but, if you want a '74 Maverick Grabber and you don't have a lot of money to spend on one then this is your car. You can always make repairs and do restoration work when time and money is not an issue. I don't think there are to many Maverick Grabbers laying around of any year! As long as there is no major rust prolbems or body damage, it can be repaired. This car is 36 year old. Any old car will need breaks, lines, fuel system drive train repairs or replacement. I would fear internal engine rust, cooling system freeze up. Animals, mice damage in electrical wiring, cowl vent, major engine bay and body rust. I think its worth $500. Most people I know spend $500 on there car stereo or more. I would hate for it to go the the crusher! I recently looked at a white one with gold stripes. It was completly rusted out, the 6cly did not run but, it had gold bucket seats and floor shifter. The car sold for $1500 before I got there!
