for sale section..."XXXpart, good for daily driver"...example...http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=83553

Well Frank since you used my drivers quality bumper as an example I fill like I need to explain more, there is nothing wrong with the bumper that I did not disclose but some people seem to think when you sell them something it will have new chrome and and shine like the day it was new, if I had a Comet I would not be ashamed of putting this on my car and going to a car show with it.

Perhaps you could give me some insight as to how I should have described it:huh:

I think you described it well. Not to offend anyone on here but have you seen some of the "drivers" on here? That bumper is fine for many cars on here. Hell my rear bumper has a nice dent with a paint touch up doing a poor job of covering it up. LOL. I would call it a driver bumper. Needs repair and chrome for a show piece.

no need to explain anything...I didn't pick yours out of a crowd, just the first one I came to w/"driver" in the discription. same as the "Cheap" parts wanted ad.
the "driver" discription puts it in a certain group. as you know there are top/bottoms to any group.
kinda like the..."looks good" ...comment...I know you have seen that used and think...what is he looking at?
...just giving my opinion on why I think car parts are getting cheaper w/less quality...that seems to be what people are sdvertising for sale and what is being asked for.

    why can't the ads say...looking for a hubcap for '74 Mav 4dr...
someone would say...I have one for $25...
now you make the call if that's cheap or too pricy...
like when someone asked...what's it worth...are they buying/selling...

Ok yep I'm dragging up this again, as stated in my original post parts quality and quality control has long dissapeared, ordered shocks the other day, Monroe Monro-Matic Plus shocks, they came in today and I picked them up just a few minutes ago, open them up and one has all the parts to mount it and the other has half the parts, it's missing the bolt, nut, lock washer and sleeve for the upper mount, now I called David at O' Reilly's and he said he would dig one out of another box, but still here I am using my gas (it's about 12 miles to the auto parts one way) and taking up my time to go and get the parts that should have been in there, parts and quality control on parts is getting worse every time I buy something new, I have had a new brake master cylinder that did not have the rod with it and therefore did not have the small clip that holds the rod in, and my old clip was toasted, try and find one of those clips....not gonna get a new one anywhere, this kind of crap happened on the Blue Grabber and still is happening on this Grabber, I will from now on open every new part in the store and see if it's complete!
