    LOOK! Its a Maverick!

Gee! You don't see many Mavericks on the show field! It looks great! I forgot how nice they are! I like them better now then when they were new. Do you know of any that are for sale?

    Common comments..

Shows and cruise nights: OH a Maverick. I or (insert relative) had one of those............ wish they still had it.

Kids age 5 to 13 : Cool car. Then they ask dad what it is. All the kids on my street give me the thumbs up. They also yell something about rubber.

Age 14 to 20 (at cruise nights): Think you could light'em up on your way out? answer, ummm no.

Women at the gas station: Nice car! last time I stopped for gas a woman in her 50's said "sweet ride".:p

Just about everyone that sees mine while it's running smiles waves or requests an illegal display of power of some sort.
People that see it parked either (non car folk) look at it with distaste or (car people) do a double take and start looking under it.

One guy thought my car was an AMC. He had a hard time believing it was a Ford.

I actually had a guy ask me if that "Is that a car like Maxwell Smart used to drive. You know, that GT something...Buick sold 'em?" I asked if he meant the Opel GT. "Yeah, that's it. Is this one of those?" I told him "Yes it is." :(

"Huh. I didn't think they were this big and had back seats." :slap:

"Well, he had to have someplace to smooch on 99."

    Ain't I stinker?
