Well, this is just getting too confusing. I'm totally frustrated and will never post here again for eternity.........or 10 seconds, which ever comes first.

The question was not "what is the hardest replacment part to find for your Maverick", it was 'What is the rarest OE part on a maverick'. Boomerang trim pieces were not rare, and neither were hood trim moldings. Dashpads were not rare either.
So far, I think Craig has it, with the leather embossed name plate. How many Mavericks do you see with the rear defogger fan?...

Craig ... I also heard some of the early Mavericks had a Magnetic emblem on the dash instead of the pinned on emblems. Perhaps these were the ones with the Leather plaque? Every hear of the magnetic ones?

I have never heard of the magnetic ones....but I did get a parts car in one time that had a magnetic emblem on the dash. I just assumed it was some type of aftermarket magnet and stuck it up in the lid of my toolbox.

You might have the rarest part then ... pretty sure many years ago Chuck Stalnaker told me about the Magnetic emblems ....

Okay. I'll say the rarest Originally Equipped part on a Maverick would have to be something related to THE Shelby Maverick - maybe the hood mounted tach?, anything with the word "Shelby" on it? ultimately - his signature on the dash of a Shelby Maverick!

There you have it. This thread can be locked now. :drink:

Ha! Nice! But it wasn't OE on your non-Shelby ride.

    Lock it!

Those clear plastic gromlets that go in the door lock button holes so they do not rattle!
