Know what happens when your new valve body locks itself between "1st" and "reverse" at 40 mph due to a manufacturing flaw? The drive tire locks up and the car spins.

To add to the explanation on "why the passenger side tire is the one that spins in a one-wheel peel because of no posi" ....

The car is sitting on a spring on each corner. Motor torque will put a twist into the car that loads the passenger side front (and conversely makes the driver side front "light"). This, in turn, transmits the load diagonally through the car and will tend to press down the driver side rear... (again, think about a solid rectangular box suspended on springs). With the driver side loaded more heavily, the car should break the passenger side tire loose first.

In the weird example where the original poster was blowing away the driver side tire, I would say he had a horribly inadequate spring on that side, blown out shock, or some other structural problem. That would mean the other three corners are what actually holds up the car .... scary, but as nose-heavy as these cars are, entirely possible.

As far as ETs go .... I would hope one in good tune would find its way into the 18s. I managed to pound the ex-wife's horrible 1980 Cougar to that kind of ET .... weak-tea 302, auto .... pretty sure I had the air on while doing it. It was the only running vehicle that I had to take to the track the day some buddies and I went bracket-racing.

Or if he was power braking the brakes on that side were weaker than the other side.
