MY GOD IT RUNS! so Craig....... seeee? :smash: :p no burned oil, starts quick and plugs look brand new even when idling in traffic! god its a miracle! not bad for sitting around in an alley for 5 years huh? remember what it looked like about 2 months ago? http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=8270

but okies here it is... well done for now! i put the stock wheels back on to keep it orginal yeah right... we'll see how long this last :D

did lots to it and got carried away with it a bit but.... oh wells

redid the seats and carpet to orginal pattern and color (most of you have already seen that already)

its got nice refreshed tranny in it with a mild transgo shift kit and a 2600 converter in it.

3 core radiator (out of a V8) with i might ad a v8 fan shroud (i think some people were debating if it fit or not. well it does! also put on a 6 blade flex fax with a hi-po thermostat.

msd 6a, blaster 2 coil and petronixs 8mm wires and a SOT battery capacitor

put 4 new brigestone white walls on the orginal wheels along with the spare but i power coated them. anyone out there got some orginal Maverick beauty rings?

got some gabriel gas shocks for the front (kybs will be going in though) and GR-2 kybs for the rear. i'm so bummbed they discontined the gas-a-just kybs for the rears for mavericks!

also put a new gas tanks and mustang sender in.

now i'm wondering if i should modify it some more or leave it stock. getting the turbo itch or even the N/A headde, cam, headwork, carb upgrade bug too! however its kinda cool driving around in a stock maverick with an orginal motor. i actually had 3 people come up to me today and said they thought the car was cool. and i even had one person come up to me and ask me if i wanted to sell it while i was at the ford dealership picking up parts. i told him it wasn't for sale... then i found out the guy who asked me was the owner of the ford dealership... :slap: i should have sold it! then again i think they were all mocking me becuase the color of the car is so ugly IMO and the big bumpers well enough said. :D

well gonna send of the pictures to the lady i bought it from and see what she says.... maybe she will want it back. how much you think i can get from her? :D

anways guys thanks who helped with the info and some of the used parts!

gonna still be working on it with the detials and other small stuff but for now having some real fun driving a slow car. hum... what next now?

Sweeeet! I think that car could make one killer "sleeper". An SVO turbo 2.3 (or equivelent) to keep it nice and quiet? I think with that color it's a shoe-in. Small bumper conversion for sure. Then you'll have a lightweight champ.(y)
